Angel Hair Mitts

This is a pattern that I made up to help me with my inability to let sock yarn go. I ripped off the tag when I bought it, so I can’t remember what brand or color name the yarn bears. If anyone can identify it, please tell me. :)

Materials: A size G hook, scissors, any sock yarn.

 Pattern:

  Right hand:

  Ch 40, join

  Sc around.

Ch 2, dc around and repeat rnd 6 more times.

Rnd 9: Dc 5, ch 10, skip 5 stitches, dc in next stitch and rest of round.

10: Dc in next rnd, only dc in back loops of chains.

  11:Dc 5, Dc2tog, dc6, dc2tog, dc rest of rnd.

  12: Dc 5, dc2tog, dc4, dc2tog, dc rest of rnd.

  13: Dc 5, sc2tog, dc2, dc2tog, dc rest of rnd.

14: Dc 5, sc2tog twice, dc rest of rnd.

15: Dc 5, sc2tog, dc rest of rnd.

  16-20: Dc around.

  Weave in ends,

    Left glove:

Work the same until rnd 9, instead of five, dc 30 before thumb hole. Decrease the same way.

  Thumb:

Connect yarn anywhere, preferably on one of the chains from rnd 8. Dc around, using both loops on the stitches and using the front loops on the chains. Dc one more rnd and weave in ends.

   Happy new year and enjoy!

Kindle Fire Cover

This is a pattern that I designed early for my Kindle Fire. Made with a nice 100% wool yarn that will definitely keep your kindle encased in style.

Materials: A size G hook, scissors, any size 4 yarn. A needle, thread, and button (optional).

  Pattern:

Ch 26, sc in second ch from hook in back loop only and across. Once you’ve single crocheted in the back loop of the last stitch, keep going by turning the work upside down and working across the other loops. (50 stitches.)

Work two more rnds in sc.

   Rnd 5 and 6: Hdc

   7: Hdc, ch1 around.

   8,9,10,11,12: Hdc around.

   13: repeat rnd 7

   14,15,16: Dc around.

   17: repeat rnd 13

   18,19,20,21:Hdc

Choice #1: Hdc 25, ch2, turn Hdc across and for four more rows.

Choice#2:  Sew a button in the middle of the upper front of the case, then chain appropriate amount of stitches to loop around the button.

    Choice#3: Don’t do anything!

Enjoy this pattern! Merry Xmas!!! :)
